Twin Cities Restaurant Coalition (TCRC) was born amidst a shutdown of all restaurants and bars in Minnesota during 2020. The owners and chefs came together to form a coalition to support each other in a time we needed to rely on community the most.

 

Working with all restaurateurs, I was inspired to create something organic, food related, and meaningful. I learned a great deal about fungi and realized how perfect of a representation it was for the coalition. Mushrooms represent growth (some grow after a fire), spontaneity, and a colony. They have many health benefits, and lastly, they are an ingredient. It was the perfect symbol to represent this group.
